Intended Audience The ACLS Provider Course is designed for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.

Prior to the course, providers must be proficient in the following: Performing high-quality BLS skills through the use of the 2020 AHA Guidelines Reading and interpreting electrocardiograms (ECGs) Understanding PALS drugs Bag-mask ventilations Complete mandatory PALS pre-course self assessment test

Intended Audience BLS is geared towards students who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings and need CPR training to enter into a health-related training program. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.

During PEARS, students interact with real patient cases, and realistic simulations and animations to assess and stabilize pediatric patients experiencing respiratory and shock emergencies, and cardiopulmonary arrest. PEARS prepares students to provide appropriate lifesaving interventions within the initial minutes of response until a child can be transferred to an advanced life support provider.

The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course teaches students how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. This course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

ACLS EP Course participants are expected to have the following skills and qualities: Be proficient in performing BLS and ACLS skills Be able to read and interpret ECGs Have an understanding ACLS pharmacology Regularly lead or participate in emergency assessment and treatment of pre-arrest, arrest, or post-arrest patients Use key elements of critical thinking in processing information, data in development of the differential diagnosis, and decision-making for intervention and care ACLS EP

The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
